Captain’s log #5

Captain’s log. 19 September 2025. For those who read this blog, and the Captain’s logs vigoursly: you will remember that 3 months ago we said good bye to our old library management system! We have been very busy getting to grips with the new system which has propelled the spaceship, erm, the library into the twenty-first century. Just today I completed a job which would have taken me hours before, but today in about 45 minutes! The library crew will also be ready for the new influx of new students, and non-student library users, as well as explaining to those library members who used the Library, our old catalogue and the collection before the end of June 2025 how things work under Koha. Finally, and relating to the photo above the post: we are moving back to longer opening hours, as the London Jesuit Centre‘s teaching term starts on Monday (22nd). For the first time ever we are now open until 6:30pm on Mondays! Please check our page with the opening hours! There will also be a couple of new offerings, so read our news items in the coming days.
