Captain’s log #3

Captain’s log. 30 April 2025. Today, three things come to an end: first, we will need to stop providing off-site store books to our former, bibliophile mothership directly (of course, those with a serious interest in theology or philosophy can apply for membership of our place, and consult and borrow our books at the Mount Street reading room). Second, the time of our temporary first officer, Julian, comes to an end (do not worry our new permanent first officer, Sophia, is up-to-speed, and our second officer, Amelia, has proved that she can keep the ship afloat in the absence of the captain). Third, we are nearing the end of the non-teaching time, and are about to embark on another term next week. Endings are also beginnings, and you might have noticed that we have finally started to be more active on https://bsky.app/profile/heythroplib.bsky.social. And finally: as in the previous two years, we have welcomed a student from the Library and Information Studies MA – University College London to her work experience time with us: hello Caroline!
