You might not believe how I stumbled across this one. I was searching for something on the database / online platform of Crown (one of our off-site store companies), and came across the following:

As you can see, there is no information in the column for Heythrop Book Barcode. I tried to search our catalogue for this book, but couldn’t find an entry which was likely to match this. I was intrigued! I added this volume to the next delivery from Crown (i.e. when library user request volumes from there), and… There was no record on our catalogue for this volume on the Passion Play in Oberammergau! There was no Heythrop Library barcode in the book either. You can now find a record of this book at https://catalogue.libraries.london.ac.uk/record=b4585056~S3
Anyway, from the first sentence of the first chapter of this book, to give you some flavour (p. 1):
Whereever you may come from, whoever you may be, kind Reader, will you follow me?
If such findings gladden your heart, or you are just nosy about what the staff at the Heythrop Library are up to, please consider subscribing to our blog, and following us.
Oh, and to put the abvoe into context: there are ca. 15,000 to 20,000 books which are similarly hidden at the moment. See my colleague Amelia’s post on Project introduction : Crown to Deepstore. We’ll be sharing more of these, as we come across them.
